About Yessir ImFly
Ry Soksamnang (born December 12, 2006), known professionally as Yessir ImFly, XFly, or simply Fly, is a Cambodian musical artist, rapper, and former gaming content creator. He gained initial recognition through his TikTok content between 2021 and 2023, where he built a following for his distinctive energy and expressive style.
Transitioning from online content creation to music, Fly became known for his experimental approach to hip-hop and his visually striking, nontraditional fashion aesthetic. His artistic persona often characterized by surreal, “nonhuman-like” themes, has contributed to his growing identity within Cambodia’s emerging underground music scene.
Beyond music, Fly has expressed interest in creative media, including film, digital content, and visual art, establishing himself as part of a new generation of multi-disciplinary Cambodian artists.
Early life
Ry Soksamnang was born on December 12, 2006. From a young age, he showed a strong interest in research, astronomy, creative arts, computer science, editing, gaming, music, skating, and martial arts, particularly taekwondo. His curiosity for technology and creativity later became a foundation for his artistic development and content creation.
Career
Fly began his online career in 2018 under the name SSNGM, focusing on live streaming and gaming content. The original channel was deleted in 2019, but he relaunched his streaming career on September 13, 2019 under the name XFly. By 2021, he had achieved “Level Up” creator status on Facebook Gaming and amassed more than 20,000 followers.
Despite his growing success, Fly ended his streaming career in 2023 following financial difficulties. He temporarily stepped away from content creation to work in another city to support his family. This period marked a turning point that would later influence his transition into music and creative arts.
Artistry
Fly’s artistic identity draws heavily from his passion for technology and self-learning. Through his interest in digital media, he began studying Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Blender 3D, and computer science, developing skills that shaped his visual and musical direction. Alongside his digital work, Fly has been passionate about painting and drawing since childhood, continuously exploring new forms of expression and creativity.
His art often merges visual storytelling with sound, reflecting his fascination with the intersection of music, digital art, and imagination.

Since childhood, Fly has drawn inspiration from a wide range of international hip-hop artists and creative movements. Among his most significant musical influences are Yeat, Playboi Carti, Ken Carson, Homixide Gang, LUCKI, Travis Scott, Rich Amiri, and Summrs, as well as numerous other figures from different genres beside rage-rap.
Beyond music, Fly’s imagination is fueled by video games—particularly open-world, space, and adventure titles—as well as vibrant visual art and futuristic aesthetics, all of which play a central role in his creative universe.
